What is the third-party partner service?
The third-party partner service is offered to customers through licensed partners to enable account linking and seamless fund transfers between PayPal and the customer’s bank account or wallet through the partner’s platform.
To qualify, you must have an eligible PayPal account and a local bank account or wallet with a partner offering the service in the same region. When registering to use the service, you’ll create a new or link your existing PayPal account to your local bank account or wallet through the partner platform and subsequently withdraw or top-up your PayPal account.
How do I register to use the third-party partner service?
Log in to the Bank or Wallet platform that offers the PayPal service.
- Access the PayPal service and follow the on-screen instructions:
- If you don’t have a PayPal account, you’ll be prompted to create a new account.
- If you already have an account, simply log in using your PayPal credentials.
- Grant permissions to the partner platform to link your local bank or wallet with your PayPal account, view your PayPal balance, perform withdrawal from and top-up to your PayPal account.
- Once completed successfully, you can start using PayPal services through the partner platform.
- If you are a new customer, you’ll receive an email from PayPal to confirm your email address. Confirm your email address by clicking the link in the PayPal email.
How do I withdraw money from PayPal to my local bank account or wallet through a third-party partner?
- After completing the registration on the partner platform, click Withdraw.
- Your available balance will be displayed. You can withdraw money only up to the available USD balance shown in your PayPal account. If you hold a balance in your PayPal account in a different currency, please log in to your PayPal account at paypal.com and convert the money into USD.
- Enter the amount you would like to withdraw from your PayPal account in USD.
- You will be redirected to a page showing the amount to be received in local currency, the exchange rate used for the currency conversion, and the estimated transaction processing time.
- Confirm and complete the withdrawal of funds.
After you have confirmed the transaction, it takes between 2 hours to 3 calendar days to process a withdrawal from your PayPal account to your local bank account or wallet, depending on the transaction value. The estimated time will be presented to you before confirming the transaction.
How do I top up my PayPal account using my local bank account or wallet through a third-party partner?
- After completing the registration on the partner platform, click Top Up.
- Enter the amount you would like to top up in USD.
- You will be redirected to a page showing the amount to be debited from your local bank account or wallet, the exchange rate used for the currency conversion and the amount in USD to be topped up in your PayPal wallet.
- Confirm and complete the top of funds, and the USD amount will be credited to your PayPal account.
- Use your newly topped up balance to easily and more securely shop online or send payments with PayPal.
Top-ups to your PayPal account will generally be processed in real-time but may take up to 4 hours. If your PayPal balance is not in USD, you will need to log in to your PayPal account to confirm the top-up request.
