Business Payments Agreement

This agreement governs the use of the PayPal Business Payments product. Your use of the Business Payments product is subject to this Business Payments Agreement, in addition to the terms of the PayPal User Agreement, the PayPal Privacy Policy and other applicable legal agreements between you and PayPal.

Purchases using PayPal Business Payments

Business Payments means payments made through certain third parties' products or services where the sender must fund their payment exclusively using either (or both) their PayPal balance or E-check and for which the PayPal Business Payment fee applies. The PayPal Business Payment fee is currently being offered to select third-party partners as approved by PayPal and only through third parties' products or services (not by PayPal directly) in limited product lines.

Offering PayPal Business Payments

If you, as a third-party partner to PayPal, offer PayPal Business Payments in a payment flow, you may not offer any other PayPal-branded payment option in the same flow.

PayPal Business Payments Fee

The PayPal Business Payment fee is paid by the recipient unless it is disclosed to the sender before the sender sends the payment that the sender must pay this fee.

PayPal will apply the following fee to each PayPal Business Payment transaction:

If you are a recipient whose PayPal account qualifies to receive Business Payments and you are in the U.S and the payment is in U.S. Dollars:

And the funds you’re receiving are coming from a PayPal account in:

 

then you pay:

 

The U.S.

a fee of $0.50 USD

Canada

a fee of $5.00 USD

China*

a fee of 2% of the transaction amount, up to a maximum of $50.00 USD

* PayPal Business Payments may only be sent to China in U.S. Dollars and the payment must be equal to or greater than $2000.00 USD.

 

If you are a recipient whose PayPal account qualifies to receive Business Payments and you are in Canada. and the payment is in U.S. Dollars:

And the funds you’re receiving are coming from a PayPal account in:

 

then you pay:

 

The U.S.

a fee of 1% of the transaction amount, plus a fixed fee of $0.50 USD, up to a maximum of $15.00 USD

 

If you are a recipient whose PayPal account qualifies to receive Business Payments and you are outside the U.S.. and the payment is in a currency other than U.S. Dollars:

And the funds you’re receiving are coming from a PayPal account in:

 

then you pay:

 

Canada (fee paid by recipient)*

a fee of 1% of the transaction amount, plus a fixed fee of $0.50 CAD, up to a maximum of $15.00 CAD

Canada (fee paid by sender)*

a fee of $5.00 CAD

*The PayPal Business Payment Fee is paid by the recipient unless it is disclosed to you before you send the payment that you, the sender, must pay this fee. 

Transactions using PayPal Business Payments are not eligible for coverage under PayPal’s Seller Protection program.
